Life and Beauty Through Light
Beauty is an abstract concept linked to human existence from the beginning of time. It is always linked to the eye of an observer regardless of whether it’s being studied for the purpose of aesthetics or solely as a philosophical discipline. Beauty always evokes an emotional state; a sense of pleasure and a feeling of satisfaction. Any human activity can evoke or produce “beauty; artists, poets, musicians, philosophers, and even the great mystics of humanity have offered beauty to their peers. It was Saint Thomas of Aquinas who defined beauty as something that’s pleasing to the eye.
Applying the concept of beauty to humanity means that we have to delve into the dimensions of both outer beauty and inner beauty. Inner beauty refers to psychological concepts, like personality, intelligence, grace, integrity and elegance. Outer beauty will always be directly related to certain attributes such as health, symmetry and sensuality.
Beauty can also manifest itself in medicine. Plastic Surgery and Aesthetics is the medical field that’s able to increase the beauty of human beings. Medical science will always be at the cutting edge because of its relationship to technology. This branch of medicine, that incorporates technology, plastic surgery and aesthetics is then able to create ART. This relationship converts the plastic surgeon into an artist dedicated to improving the outer beauty of his peers.
In order to talk about modern plastic surgery, we must mention one of its greatest technological advancements: LASER. The name stands for Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation. Scientific studies from the nineties have shown that there are at least 50 cell types in the body that respond well to laser stimulation. So, what are the benefits of aesthetic laser surgery? There are many; lasers can affect tissues in various ways. They can cause selective action by dissolving body fat, clotting blood vessels and renovating skin’s collagen. So, how can we use this knowledge in aesthetic surgery?

Lasers can be used on the face to regenerate the skin by collagen stimulation. This stimulation can last more than twelve months; it’s as if we had applied lasers continuously for an entire year! We’ve developed a technique called “Laser Lifting” which rejuvenates the face with minimal scarring hidden under the hair, no bruising and slight swelling. Additionally, the patient can return to her/his daily activities within a week. The fatty tissue is dissolved in the double chin area and the cheekbones without any trauma. The skin is retracted, giving the person a very natural look. This treatment will allow you to look many years younger. It’s carried out on an outpatient basis using local anesthesia and light sedation.
There are additional benefits to the body because lasers can dissolve fatty tissue without hurting neighboring tissues. Conventional liposuction techniques “tear out” the fat producing great trauma and huge bruises, lots of swelling and PAIN. LIPOLASER dissolves fatty tissue from any part of the body with no trauma or bruising, and without pain. Another advantage is that it renovates the skin, which is especially important for the back, breast, thigh or arm areas. Liposculpture can be carried out with lasers in one single surgical procedure and you can get back to normal activity 24 hours later. It’s carried out on an outpatient basis with local or regional anesthesia. LIPOLASER reduces all the common risks and complications related to conventional liposuction. The movements needed to use lasers are similar to the harmonious and slow movements needed to play a violin.
We’ve created the LIPOABDOMINALPLASTY technique for women who have undergone pregnancies and ended up with slight flaccidity in the skin and localized fat. This modern technique doesn’t leave a scar at the navel since it works underneath the abdominal skin. Separate muscles are tied together to regain a tighter waist. This technique leaves all those side-to-side scars and ugly navel scars behind. You don’t even have to wear those super tight corsets for 1-2 months anymore. With these modern techniques, you only have to use a modeling corset for about 15 days. Then you can get back to the gym and carry out the exercises that will allow you to reduce one to two sizes during the first 3 months!
